Our first stop was the power plant on the north shore. To get close you need to fish from shore and we came up with a blank. Our second option was trolling along the north shore looking for anything that might happen as we worked our way to the mouth of Fordyce Creek. We did not mark any fish until we came within a hundred yards of the creek mouth. We arrived back at the ramp when a PG&E maintenance boat was also coming in. In our conversation the crew let on that they do the best with snow on the ground in the late winter/early spring and then again in the late fall. We will be back again to give it another go. It is very near to Montauk State Park, Mark Twain National Forest and Big Piney River.
