Growing up at Hogwarts

It was November 2, 2001, and Daniel Radcliffe Sat, a wide-eyed, incredibly polite 12-year, chatting enthusiastically about his starring role as the young wizard Harry Potter in the holder and the Sorcerer's Stone ( 2001). The film, of course, represented the kickoff of a successful franchise based on JK Rowling's novels.
"It's not particularly damning yet," Radcliffe said during a conversation in a majestic Hogwarts-esque room Knebworth, a sprawling 15th century manor house about an hour outside London. '`It was different, of course, my old life, but it's just as fun if not more.And the main reason it was not overwhelming because everyone on the set was so useful and good, the cast and crew (director) Chris Columbus. They really helped me lead a normal life.
"My parents, in particular, were really helpful," he added. "They made sure I kept my feet on the ground, which I think I would have done anyway. But they were amazing. "
In 2001, JK Rowling announced that she intended the pen of seven Harry Potter adventures, and Warner Bros.had made it clear that, as spectators turned out for the film adaptations, the studio would continue to produce more, perhaps even at a rate of one per year. At the time, however, Radcliffe was not so sure that Harry was going to play for the entire run.
"I think in a sense, my life would have become almost as epic as Harry," he said. "I'll be 18 or 19 and I will have done all this, which would be quite a feat. But I think that it will happen. I do not think I will do. I'll probably be too uneven or too big or I'll shrink or something.
"Then I'll take it one film at a time and just enjoy it."
Radcliffe finally portrays Harry in eight films, with Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part 2, set for release July 15. In the process, he amassed a fortune, become an international star and he took issue with roles in other films, television and on stage. Even so, one second he never lost sight of Harry and the arc of the character of the little boy to man and the Wizard in the formation of a force to be reckoned with against Lord Voldemort (Ralph Fiennes).
Speaking in 2005, while promoting Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, Harry Radcliffe described as an angry teenager driven by frustration, isolation and hormones are raging.
