Balearia ferries to be jazzed up with Custo designs
Catalan fashion designer Custo Dalmau has designed the hulls and interiors of two high-speed Baleària ferries on the Miami-Bahamas route in the Atlantic Ocean and the Denia-Formentera-Ibiza route in the Mediterranean.
The hulls decorated with original Custo Barcelona designs belong to the "Ramon Llull" and the "Pinar del Río", both of which will also boast Custo clothes shops on board.
A further five ships have been "customised" with the label's designs and will also have original Custo products for sale on board.
The "Ramon Llull" will cover the Denia-Formentera-Ibiza route to and from the beginning of June and the end of September 2011, and the "Pinar del Río" will begin sailing next summer to and from Miami and the Bahamas.
The latter will connect Miami (USA) with the island of Bimini, 46 nautical miles away, and Bimini with Grand Bahama, 60 miles away.
