Pullen, Selby hope to make NBA Impact

As Jacob Pullen chronicled his cross-country travels on Twitter, messages like this one were the norm.

"Great workout today," Pullen tweeted. "Everybody got after it. Now back to Vegas to get better before the next one."

Las Vegas became Pullen's home base after he left Kansas State, and not because of the slot machines and the blackjack tables. Pullen and Kansas' Josh Selby were among 54 prospects who participated in the predraft program at Impact Academy, a training facility located a few miles from the Vegas strip.

"It's a comprehensive program of performance training," said Andrew Moore, who runs the Impact training program. "That's your weights, your biometrics, your agility and your basketball skills training. For Jacob and Josh, point guard skills were the focus."

Impact Basketball was founded by Joe Abunassar, a manager for Bob Knight at Indiana and former collegiate assistant who also started IMG Academy in Florida. The Las Vegas facility is frequented by players of all levels, from prep prospects to NBA veterans like Kevin Garnett and Chauncey Billups, and the draft hopefuls range from top 10 picks to those destined for Europe.

"We go to the supermarket and plan out their meals as soon as they get to Las Vegas. A lot of these guys need help with nutrition, so we get them on track, get them in shape and really refine their skills," Moore said. "Josh was here for eight weeks and Jacob for a month, so we have time to implement a good body composition change through nutrition and our performance training."

Players come to Las Vegas conditioned for the college game, but NBA workouts emphasize a different set of skills. The Impact program fine-tunes prospects for the individual drills and 3-on-3 competitions that form the basis for most predraft evaluations, Moore said.

"There are some skill improvements you need to make for the next level, but really the focus is training for the workouts," Moore said. "All the conditioning tests they'll do, all the different workout sequences they'll do, all the 3-on-3 and 1-on-1 that they'll do with the team workouts, that's really the focus for these guys.

I think I found the solution: It is not sufficient to click "show hidden files and folders", I needed also to click "show hidden files in the OS"!! If I do that, the folder "System" appears under "Garmin"

I have two laptops, and it worked on #1 but not on #2. Comparing the two folder settings, it was reveiled what the difference was.
