SLAPPA HardBody 420 CD Case. Is it good for DJs?

Your DJ will be many typical cases and boxes to transport their stuff. Whether it's road case for electronics or boxes for CDs and records, we rely heavily on these products and the value of the protection they give us. Our equipment is our livelihood and we want to do everything last as long as possible, with minimal need for repair or replacement.

So I was delighted to receive a CD Slappa Hardbody 420 cases for review. Upon inspection I could tell immediately that this is a very robust, and began brainstorming on how I could use to my advantage.Obviously, its main function is to hold CDs, but I do not usually use the CD when I DJ, and most of my catalog is either on vinyl or my laptop.

Vinyl, however, became a huge chore to maintain and transport. They are heavy, and the chain easily if they sit too long in the hot sun or a hot car. As much as I enjoyed the experience of learning to DJ using vinyl, and we believe that competence is essential to preserve the art form, it can be cumbersome when applying the competence of a live performance. Record needle will jump, sometimes just the vibration of the speakers.Most clubs are not equipped to handle both analog and four decibels lower than the additional records are capable of producing. There is also the issue of potentially ruin the great records that you want to keep in your collection.

That's why I decided to go with a DVS (Digital Vinyl System). It allows me to save all my music on my laptop, but the control software through vinyl and turntables. Even this has become a burden, as I recently discovered when I played one of the greatest concerts of my career. The sound guy jumped on my platform to find what was wrong with my monitor, and the needle jumped.It took the wind from my sails. This was the deciding point for me. From now on, the vinyl will be strictly to preserve the music and building my collection, but I will get rid of my DJ turntables and switching on a CD-Js.

That's why I've started throwing cataloging my music collection on CD. The Slappa Hardbody CD Case 420 has helped enormously in this regard, with removable storage boxes and sleeves that can hold up to 420 CDs. It will take me a long time to catalog my collection, but this product gave me the push I needed to take the first steps to get this done.

I still wanted to make good use of the case now, so I continued the project during the transition to CD. After the first time I opened it, I removed the storage boxes for CDs and noticed that the space where they are going seemed to be the perfect size to hold an industry standard DJ mixer, as Pioneer DJM-800 or Allen & Heath Xone: 92. I was borrowing a DDM4000 Behringer mixer from a friend who is the industry standard size, so I placed inside the case and fit perfectly with a little room the side of the cable.I plan to buy this console, it will be a great safe way to transport, for the moment.
